Community description:A community for the real-life beer and marmalade book club.
The Beer and Marmalade Book Club likes to discuss books by WisCon Guests of Honor, Tiptree Award winners, Carl Brandon Society winners, and other works of feminist science fiction and fantasy. Although not officially affiliated with WisCon, many of us attend and enjoy this fabulous con and we look to it for reading inspiration.

The name of our book club is inspired by James Tiptree Jr (Alice B. Sheldon) who chose her pen name in part from a jar of marmalade called Tiptree Preserves. Many of us also like beer.

Feel free to Subscribe. Because we are based on a real-life book club, not everyone gets to join the community - we want to be able to lock posts for various reasons and moderate the membership. Thanks!
